Hi Sjors-ZA, thanks for your suggestion. I have Win7 Ultimate 32-bit, and tried your method. Windows would recognize it, no conflict.

However, on the Network Connection window, it showes up Disabled. I can't enable it no matter what I do. Have anyone encounter this problem? I though Linksys has better support, that's I pay more for their products.

It seems that they are not much different than generic brand like Trendnet and Airlink 101, which only cost me like $12 does their USB adapter. Your solution worked perfectly. After trying every download i could find and every version of the cd that i had, i finally fixed it! So silly but the first download that i grabbed from this site actually worked, i just needed to unzip the file that it downloaded in before windows would see that there was a driver in the folder.

So if you are banging your head against a wall and have tried everything else, make sure that you actually unzip the file first. Otherwise windows wont see it. Im running windows 7 32bit and using the wusb54gs (no version number so im assuming version 1). Was glad to find this forum. I just installed Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on our extra computer and our Linksys Wireless-G WUSB656 Ver.4 would not work. So could not update nothing.

The old drivers with the Linsys CD would not work so I uninstalled them. Then I downloaded the last Vista update driver for it from Linsys, which did not even mention '64-bit', and that would not install. So I followed the advise found in this form to go to Which I did on our other computer. Clicked on 'Support' and downloaded the driver file for USB (RT2500USB) and saved to a USB storage device.

Then copied that exe file to the other computer, and ran it. And for those not so techy, I did these steps: --Plug in your Linksys Wireless-G WUSB656 --Click on Start - Control Panel - Click on Hardware & Sound --Under Devices & Printers pick Device Manager --Under Network Adapter right click on your Linksys device and pick Update Driver Software --Click on Browse my Computer for driver software. If you are shown a list of devices, pick Network Adapter --In the Window that says 'Select Network Adapter', scroll down on the lefthand list to find Ralink Technology Corp. If listed twice, you may have to check both lists. --Find and highlight on the righthand side RT2500 USB Wireless LAN Card --Press the 'Next' button and allow the driver to install. --Back in Device Manager you will see that your Linksys USB device name has been changed to 'RT2500 USB Wireless LAN Card', but that is okay, as it will probably work now. --On the Righthand side of the bottom Windows Task bar, click on the Network icon, you will probably see your routers name with a prompt to put in your main routers security code.

Once you do that, you should be connected to the Internet. Biggie ready to die download.
