Great job vanillaice!!! Another one that's converted.

Flywheel weights make a big difference. I have the Stealthy on both my 08 RM125 and 08 RM250. Anyone who says use a clutch instead is missing the point.

The reason four strokes are so popular is because they're easier to ride, but also more tractable coming out of corners. Two strokes are notorious for major wheel spin when on the pipe, whereas with four strokes you can roll the throttle on and limit wheel spin. Flywheel weights make the bike more tractable, which helps make the bike hook up better. If you're spinning you're not moving forward as quickly as you could be. You used blue loctite right??? You used blue loctite right??? That makes sense.

When he asked about using it on a 125 I thought it sounded kinda silly because the power is manageable but even if that's the case it still smooths the power out for you and makes for better traction. I'm probably going to end up experimenting with bigger weights just to see how it changes the power characteristics.

When I was researching them I read some rumors that Tim Ferry used one on his YZ 250. Maybe I'll call into Pulp one night and ask Mathes (haha). I didn't use loctite. I thought the directions had said not to use it so I've just been checking it religiously. I should have worked out an endorsement deal with Steahly because I would think now that two strokes are making somewhat of a resurgence and everyone has been spoiled by four strokes lately these flywheel weights are going to sell like hot cakes! You also have to ask yourself what you are doing by putting extra weight on the end of your crank, and how that affects the power characteristics of your motor. 250 two stroke, for the average guy on a motocross track, great investment. A 125, whose power is seriously limited when comparing it to other bikes in it's class, I think you are mad to put one on.

Keep new tyres on the back of it and hold it on. Wrote: Not to hi jack. But I have a boyesen ignition cover. There is no clearance between the weight and the cover so i have to use the stock plastic cover. Bike won't turn over and the flywheel has a nice circular groove etching into the inside of that cover with one kick.

1/8 distance to the peg of a kick. Is there a spacer kit to make clearance and have enough clearance between the shifter and cover? This should take care of it.

I guess the aftermarket ignition covers are a little tighter so you have to get a spacer.
