Chrono Resurrection (also known as Chrono Trigger: Resurrection) is an unreleased, non-profit fangame developed by North American team Resurrection Games under Nathan Lazur's direction. Because they didn't want amateurs using their brand? I'm just as bummed about there not being any Chrono stuff as the next guy, but Chrono Resurrection was a tiny sample of what needed to be done. Square doesn't want to throw resources at a remake because people turn into whiny bitches and accuse them of cashing in on their catalogue whenever they do something along those lines. In addition, nothing will live up to the hype the original game set. The same goes for a FF7 remake. They have very little to gain (except pleasing a bunch of long-time fans) and a lot to lose (money, resources).

If I were running that company, I'd want to avoid dying on that particular hill. I hear what you're saying, but as long as those people weren't trying to profit from what they were doing, I don't see what the big deal is. The 'problem' is that perception is reality. Just because you know it's some fan-made third party spinoff does not mean everyone knows or cares, and someone is still using those assets and that brand while putting their own spin on it.

That fan is then actively changing the presentation and perception of that brand, for better or for worse, and at the end of the day it's not his to change. Not to mention that legally they have to protect their IP. If they don't they lose the legal rights to their own IP.

She finds Robo who is trying to stop a robot rebellion. They two defeat the robots, and Robo ponders his fate. Crono and Glenn find themselves in a waterway leading to the next continent.
